What's Yours is Mine & What's Mine is Yours...

Where to begin...

The past month has been so overwhelming. Pharmacy school acceptance, engagement, wedding planning...the list goes on and on, and now to add to it all Michael will be a first-time home owner come Wednesday at 1pm. I cannot express how excited I am for him! He has worked so hard to get to this point in his life that he could buy a home. For over a year now Michael has been cooped up in a one bedroom, one bath apartment, and it is high time he has a place to call his own. Being the wonderful man that he is, he planned ahead and bought a house in Malvern, AR, so that once we're married come December we will have a centrally located home with respect to UAMS and his job in Hot Springs. This house is just perfect for a single family. Of course we looked at homes together knowing that eventually it would be "ours".  When we met the realtor to look at the home, we instantly fell in love with the outside of the home. It looked just right for us and our taste.

Everyone knows that the outside of homes can be decieving, so of course we remained cautious until we entered the home.

As we walked through the front door we both felt right at home. It was love at first site. We looked at each other and said, "This is it!". After looking at countless homes within his price range we were convinced that he would have to buy an older home that needed some TLC, but this home proved us wrong!

This house was built in 2002! The previous owner was a single woman who keep everything very clean. She had everything labeled throughout the house! As we looked though all of the closets we found the air conditioning; the owner had post-it notes attached with all of the dates she had changed the filter!

On top of the house being completely spotless, we stepped outside to find the cutest little patio along with a backyard!

Although the yard is not fenced in yet, Michael is hoping to do that very soon so that he can have his son (Dutch his chocolate lab) at home with him. At the back edge of the yard the previous owner had planted a little fruit orchard! There are peach trees, a plum tree, an apple tree, and even a pomegranate tree!

Knowing that this home is soon to be our home come December, I volunteered to buy new furniture for the house. This weekend my parents and I will be helping Michael move as well as taking all of the new furniture to Malvern! It is so exciting!

It just so happened to work out that Michael closes on this house during his last month of his lease with his apartment complex. This prevented Michael from having to pay hundreds of dollars to get out of his lease. Also, Michael is only allowed to live within a 30 mile radius from his job, and this house is 26 miles away from his office! It is truly amazing to look back over all of God's blessings just within this past semester. I know that He has orchestrated everything to work out just right. I can't help but be confident that we are in His will!

Michael has so much to be proud of. He has worked so hard at Farm Bureau and has achieved so much! Within his first year and a half of working there he has been promoted to a Level 1 Adjuster and received his AIC certification! To top it all off he is about to own a home at the age of 23! This new home is well deserved!

Come December, this will be the home that Michael and I share as husband and wife...what a crazy thought! I can't wait to see what memories we will make there!

As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
